Spring Inspired Look!!

Lately ive been seeing alot of lovely and bright spring makeup tutorials and pictures ,so i decided to put together a look myself and this is what i came up with. Very simple.Blue, pink, purple and lime green were the key eyeshadow colors that i used.I also put on some false eyelashes to add to the already dramatized look.Though this might not be a look that i go for everyday this still can be wearable!

LOTM(Look Of The Month)Elf LOOk!

Ok so lately ive been wearing this simple natural Makeup look!!!I cant express enough how im sooo in LOVE with it!!!!!!I call this my ELF Look because this was inspired by the Elf Contouring Blush&Bronzer Duo that i purchased. Below im going to give you a list of the products i used for this and underneath it a description of  how i used it!

Products I Used:
*Maybeline Fit Me Foundation in 355
*Mac's Studio Finish Concealer in "Nc45"
*Ben Nye's "Beige Suede" Visage Poudre
*Elf Blush&Bronzer Contour Duo Palette
*Victoria Secret's Very Sexy Blush in "Wild Child"
*Wet N Wild Black Cream Liner
*Mac's Haute&Naughty Lash Mascara

*Maybeline Fit Me Foundation in 355- This is the foundation i use for all of my looks.I use a Flat top Kabuki brush to apply and buff in the foundation for a flawless finish.
*Mac's Studio Finish Concealer in "Nc45"- I use this to highlight underneath my eyes and also to outline and highlight my eyebrows.I find that using my finger to apply it underneath my eyes is alot easier to control and blend evenly.I then use a concealer brush to outline my brows.
*Ben Nye's "Beige Suede" Visage Poudre- This translucent poudre is good to add a more natural look to your foundation.and to set it as well.
*Elf Blush&Bronzer Contour Duo Palette- I use the Bronzer to contour my face with a dense angled blush brush.I noticed that using that kind of brush picks up more of the color and helps to make it more noticeable on my face since the bronzer blends in alot with my skin tone. Also, using an all over eyeshadow brush i apply the bronzer all over my entire eye.It Evens out the skin tone on my eye and helps to absorb any oil on the lid.The peach blush i use to highlight  my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose, cupids bow and the middle of my chin.
*Victoria Secret's Very Sexy Blush in "Wild Child"- This is a pink blush,i add this on the apples of my cheeks to add a hint of color and to add a little bit more demension.
*Wet N Wild Black Cream Liner- I apply this just on the upper lashline to wake my eyes up and add some definition.
*Mac's Haute&Naughty Lash Mascara- I applied this just to my upper lashes.

Elf Contouring Blush&Bronzer

Let me start off by saying i love this!!! You can already tell how this review will go. This product is so inexpensive . $3.00USD . You cant beat that! In this palette you get a highlight color which is a blush that is a coral peach color that is very pigmented with lots and lots of shimmer. Im not too big on alot of shimmer but a little bit of this goes a long way. Just a dab will do. You dont want to overpower your look . The second color is a bronzer and that is also very pigmented and has some shimmer in it. Not as much as the highlight blush color does. I find that the bronzer is more wearable for me because of that reason. The packaging is very nice and durable . It reminds me alot like the NARS packaging. The only downside is that depending on the color of your skin it may or may not show up. If you are darker than me it will not show up.

**Unfortunately i wasnt able to give swatches because my skin blends and matches too well with the bronzer color that its hard to get a good swatch. But below is a picture of me with this product on,you can barely see the bronzer on me,i used it as a contour. The blush color showed up very nicely on me as you can see on my cheek bone. On the apples of my cheek i added a little bit of pink blush just to make my cheeks pop! a little more.

SUMMARY:

*Affordable $3.00USD
*Very Pigmented
*Sturdy durable packaging with mirror
*Shimmery but can easily be controlled.

Step1-Apply Mac's "Pure White Chromaline" all over the eye.Blend Evenly. This will serve as a base for the eyeshadow to sit on and last longer all throughout the day.
Step2-In Your crease ,apply Mac's "Deep Truth" with a fluffy blending brush. Blend inward, upward and outward.
Step3-Using a flat eyeshadow brush pack on MUFE's "Fuschia" eyshadow.Keep applying until you get the desired look.
Step4- Using a tapered more dense blending brush ,apply Mac's "Carbon" eyeshadow to the outer v of your eye, sweeping what left into the crease.Apply until you get the desired look ,focusing more of the color on the outer v.
Step5-Taking a clean fluffy blending brush apply MUFE's "Fuschia" eyshadow above Mac's "Deep truth"eyeshadow. This will help blend out any harsh lines and soften the overall look.
Step6-Using a pencil brush apply Mac's "Seedy Pearl" eyeshadow to your inner tear duct ,as well as underneath the brow bone with a clean fluffy eyeshadow brush.
Step7-Apply the same eyeshadows you used in order underneath your lower lashline ,going from the outer part of the eye with the most darkest color to the most lightest color.
Step8-Using a eyeliner brush apply Wet n Wild Black cream liner to your upper lashline ,lower lash line and water line.
Step9-Slightly smudge out the cream liner on the lower lashline. This will smoke out the look a bit and in my opinion makes the overall look of the eyeshadows more "Fuller"
Step10-Apply your false lashes! i went with the more dramatic ones but whichever you prefer will still look perfect!
Step11-(optional) Moisturize your lips with any lip balm.Line your lips with Brown liner and apply Mac's "Fresh Brew" Lipstick.

Spend Your life doing what makes you happy!

I recently watched a video on facebook. It wasnt your typical video. It was more of an eye opener. a lesson . Something that really makes you think. There were a couple of things that spoke to me. Being a young Makeup Artist, and this being my only job right now.I was reassured that although i may not have consistent money flowing through,i am doing what i love! The video talks about how people spend their lifetime chasing after money and in turn they are only miserable. Society teaches us that getting money and spending our life getting money is what we should do. So we grow up thinking that,we teach our kids that, they teach their kids that and so on and so on for many generations. We believe the things we love doing, wether it be being a makeup artist,a sky diver, painter, musician etc wont get us money so we step away from it just ,we push it away because society says those things dont bring in the money.I believed for the longest that being a Makeup Artist was a failing career. It wouldnt bring me money so why indulge in it eventhough i loved it. My cousin helped me believe and encouraged me to go forth in it and so i did.And since then i have. For a few years i did makeup on the side but still had a "real" job. I began feeling really unhappy ,there were days i felt like my "real" job took up so much time that i didnt have time to do what i loved.I had to turn down Makeup  Gigs because i had to work. It made me mad, miserable, unhappy, and sad.I didnt know what to do. I was taught not to quit so i knew that was not in question when it came to my "real" job. So I prayed ,thats all i could do. Due to unfair treatment i lost my job. And i must say,it was the best thing that has happened in my life!!!! In the beginning it was hard because i didnt know how i was going to get through money wise. I soon forgot about the money and just continued doing what i loved and that was Makeup! and since then i have been sooooo Happy! I started making money! Im still growing and have a long way to go but Im truely Happy. So when i seen this video i was reassured. "Better to have a short life filled with doing the things you love doing than a long life  doing what makes you miserable". That was the simplest, important ,life changing quote i have ever heard. Take a look at the video and tell me what you think in the comments below.

This video will CHANGE your life !
