Spend Your life doing what makes you happy!

I recently watched a video on facebook.It wasnt your typical video. It was more of an eye opener. a lesson . Something that really makes you think. There were a couple of things that spoke to me. Being a young Makeup Artist,and this being my only job right now.I was reassured that although i may not have consistent money flowing through,i am doing what i love! The video talks about how people spend their lifetime chasing after money and in turn they are only miserable. Society teaches us that getting money and spending our life getting money is what we should do. So we grow up thinking that,we teach our kids that,they teach their kids that and so on and so on for many generations. We believe the things we love doing,wether it be being a makeup artist,a sky diver,painter,musician etc wont get us money so we step away from it just ,we push it away because society says those things dont bring in the money.I believed for the longest that being a Makeup Artist was a failing career.It wouldnt bring me money so why indulge in it eventhough i loved it. My cousin helped me believe and encouraged me to go forth in it and so i did.And since then i have.For a few years i did makeup on the side but still had a "real" job. I began feeling really unhappy ,there were days i felt like my "real" job took up so much time that i didnt have time to do what i loved.I had to turn down Makeup  Gigs because i had to work. It made me mad,miserable,unhappy,and sad.I didnt know what to do. I was taught not to quit so i knew that was not in question when it came to my "real" job. So I prayed ,thats all i could do. Due to unfair treatment i lost my job. And i must say,it was the best thing that has happened in my life!!!! In the beginning it was hard because i didnt know how i was going to get through money wise. I soon forgot about the money and just continued doing what i loved and that was Makeup! and since then i have been sooooo Happy! I started making money! Im still growing and have a long way to go but Im truely Happy. So when i seen this video i was reassured. "Better to have a short life filled with doing the things you love doing than a long life  doing what makes you miserable". That was the simplest,important ,life changing quote i have ever heard. Take a look at the video and tell me what you think in the comments below.

Your Turn!



 

 

Step1- To start off this look apply Mac's "White Chromaline" all over your eye and blend.This will serve as a base for your eyeshadows to sit on and help the color to pop! and last longer.

Step2-  A little above your crease apply Mac's "Parfait Armout" and blend outward using a fluffy blending brush.Repeat until you achieve the desired color payoff.

Step3- Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush apply Mac's "Naked Lunch" to your brow bone and blend downward into the "Parfait Armour".

Step4- Taking a Flat eyeshadow brush pack on Mac's "Chrome Yellow" on your lid. Try not to go above your crease.Repeat until you get the desired color payoff.

Step5- Using a tapered blending brush ,apply Mac's "Contrast" in the outer v of your eye .Concentrating most of the color in that area and blend whats left inward into the "Parfait Armour".

Step6- Apply "Naked Lunch" in the inner tear duct using a pencil brush.

Step7-Repeat those eyeshadow colors you used underneath your lower lashline.

Step8- Line your upper and lower lashline with the Wet n wild cream liner,and wing it out a bit.

Step9- Go over your upper lashline with  Nyc's Liquid liner.

Step10- Line your lower waterline with any black kohl liner

Step11- Apply your false lashes and mascara!

 

 



 

Amazon Lashes Review!

I have always seen these Lashes on ebay and on amazon .There were mixed reviews on it ,but i decided to check it out for myself. These are synthetic lashes but they honestly feel like human hair. I was kind of skeptical about them looking soo fake but i was surprised when i recieved them in the mail and took them out the package .They were very natural looking,in the sense of saying they werent dead on shiny plastic.They have soo many different styles to choose from,i personally went with the dramatic ones.They are easy to work with if you are a beginner because the lash band is thick enough ,so that it is stiff and wont move all around.And now for the shocker! they were only $1.67 for a 10pack!!!!!!!!!! Yessss You cant beat that!! its definetly worth a try! You can see me wearing these lashes in my Lilly post!

8.I hate taking risks! ive always been a caution kind of girl,i have to think before i do things.Sometimes it can be a bad thing because it stops me from doing alot of good things.

9.I love nature and animals.i love staring out the window while laying in bed and looking up at the sky and the trees. Im amazed with animals ,everytime theres a frog in my driveway i always have to run up and look at it ,my sister always gets mad at me for it though.lol

1.Mascara or Lipgloss?  Ughhh soo hard! ummmmm...... ill have to go with Mascara! just because i feel like it enhances the overal makeup look.

2.Name a book you really,really hate.  Hmmm... Lets seee..... i know its not your normal book but when i was in high school ,i hated that Math Book! i hated Math period. Lol

3.Which Famous person of all time you want to be for a day? Omg! i would want to be Olivia Blois-Sharpe from tv show Jerseylicious. I Absolutely adore everything about her,she inspires me so much with her makeup and her style which is unique. Love Love Love Her.

4.What is your favorite sport? Of course i dont play it but i love watching football.

5.Would you rather have a Pedi or a Mani? Manicures are my thing.My nails are the first thing people see ,especially when doing makeup.

6.If you had a million dollars,what would you buy? I would open up my own Makeup salon. something like a hair salon but instead of people coming in to get their hair done,they'll get their makeup done.

7.What is your favorite snack? Candy!

8.Name your all time favorite song. I dont have really have one but i guess i can say Love Me Anyway by Nisha Asnani.

9.Whats 3 things you've regretted buying? i dont have three things but i regretted buying a couple of shirts from Forever 21 that i have never worn!

10.Twighlight or Fifty Shades? Thats hard! i love both but i would have to say Fifty Shades because its a real page turner and very out there!

11.What was the most embarrassing moment of your life? When i was in 8th grade ,me and my orchestra went to Kings Dominion for our all county concert, afterwards we were able to go in a group with our friends in the park to get on rides. Me and my friend was walking,we seen this boy who was soo cute,he was looking at me and i was looking at him ....I ran right into the trash can cause i wasnt watching where i was going,i was too busy staring at him. I turned back around to see if he seen me and he was still staring! So embarrassing!!!

You Try! 

Step1- Using your finger or a synthetic concealer brush apply Mac's "Pure White" chromaline all over the lid and blend.This will serve as a base for your eyeshadows and make them pop!

Step2- Taking a Fluffy blending brush apply MUFE's "Terracotta" eyeshadow in and above your crease,blending upward and out.Repeat until you achieve the desired color pay off.

Step3- Taking a flat eyeshadow brush pack Mac's "Vanilla" eyeshadow just on your lid.Try not to go in or above your crease.

Step4- Using a tapered pencil brush apply Mac's "Carbon" eyeshadow to your outer v and blend slightly inward.Make sure to apply most of the eyeshadow on the outer v to deepen and give definition to the overall look.

Step5- Taking a fluffy eyeshadow brush apply any flesh tone/beige eyeshadow underneath your brow bone and blend downward into the "Terracotta" eyeshadow.

Step6-Taking a clean pencil brush apply Mac's "Ricepaper" to your inner tear duct.Blend slightly inward.

Step7- Taking a smudge brush apply the same eyeshadows in order underneath your lower lashline.

Step8- If there was any eyeshadow color lost during the overall look ,you should go back in and replace any colors that was lost.

Step9- Apply any false eyelashes of your choice. I chose a more dramatic falsie.

Step10- Using a eyeliner brush apply Wet N wild's Black cream eyeliner above your upper lashline to hide the false eyelash band.Also, apply the liner to your waterline.

Step 11- Apply Mac's Haute&Naughty Lash Mascara to your upper and lower lashes.

 

**Optional** Lips- Mac's "Show Orchid" Lipstick

Take Time For You

I wanted to just write a post about taking time to yourself. Sometimes we look at taking time for ourselves as a negative thing,especially when you are a person who loves to help others and spend so much time dedicating your time to someone else. I believe that it crucial to spend time alone. Its not a bad thing to get away and just think. Its not selfish so dont feel guilty. You need time alone for your own sanity and to clear your mind without the influences of others. When you spend time alone you get a chance to reflect on things you want to change or just doing the things that simply make YOU happy. I encourage everyone to get your "Me Time" and dont feel ashamed or selfish to do so!

Get The Look

Step1- Using a fluffy crease brush apply "Busted" to your crease and blend outward.
Step2- Taking a flat eyeshadow brush that is dampened with a little water,apply "Pistol"eyeshadow on your lid,blend slightly upward into the "Busted" eyeshadow .Try not to over blend.
Step3-In the outer "V" of your eye,apply "Blackout"eyeshadow using a pencil brush,Blend slightly into the "Busted" eyeshadow.
Step4- Taking a clean pencil brush apply "Verve" eyeshadow to your inner tear duct,also apply it to the highest point of your eyebrow using a fluffy eyeshadow brush and slightly blend downward.
Step5- Using a smudge brush apply those same eyeshadows in order below your lashline.Blending them together.
Step6- Apply a black kohl liner on your waterline.
Step7-Line your upper lash line with a black liquid liner.
Step8- Apply your mascara to your upper and lower lashes

Viola!!!!!!!! All Done!! :)
